Interested in helping to build a variety of innovative online sites? Want to help create a welcoming online community, encouraging debate, moderating the user experience and helping the group by influencing the development of our online presence? This role will provide a fantastic insight into all aspects of digital marketing and business strategies. The role is ideally suited to those who understand the power of the Internet and who want to develop a career in the world of digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of existing and new sites where you will play a key role in developing and administering innovative websites aimed at a range of niche communities, whilst extending and managing the general site content to a receptive online audience.
  • As a Web Administrator you will help ensure the websites operate efficiently and smoothly. The role will involve plenty of participation in the website’s community and you will source content for blogs, news stories, and help to grow the vibrant communities and stimulate healthy debate online. You will make sure that systems are in place to enable efficient and effective workflows as well as ensuring stylistic conventions are consistent across the site and repurposing content for web publication.
  • You will also be responsible for reporting and analysing on user activity across a range of sites and web based platforms and will therefore be sufficient in Excel with an interest in statistical analysis.
  • With a keen interest in digital marketing you should understand the psychology and technology involved in developing online communities. Ideally you would also have an editorial / content background with excellent organisational skills and be excited by the challenge of working in the new media market.

 Skills & Qualifications  

  • The candidate will be well versed and familiar with many online technologies, with a general understanding of a variety of programming languages but mainly HTML and CSS.
  • Must be very proficient with many major software applications including; Photoshop, Dreamweaver and the entire Microsoft Office suite – especially Excel.
  • Ideally a self starter who is energetic and enthusiastic with a keen interest in social networks, digital marketing, online communities and a networker with good negotiation skills.
