Job Title :
Supply Chain Development Co-ordinatorUndergraduate Placement

The Supply Chain function underpins almost every aspect of our business from the purchase of raw materials to delivery of products to our customers and managing customer orders and deliveries. Supply Chain people therefore have the opportunity to make a big impact on our profitability and the level of service to customers.

This placement will provide practical 'hands on experience' within a global and professional organisation. You will gain a good grounding in supply chain and an understanding of how a Consumer Packaged Goods/Retailer supply chain relationship works. You will also gain exposure to UK retail customers, the UK retail environment and to Customer Management as well as to supply chain methodologies.

You will work with large scale and demanding customers where you will identify opportunities to improve customer supply chain and supply chain relationships in line the Kimberly-Clark Consumer Supply Chain dynamic ten point plan. With deep dive analysis into supply chain initiative and intelligence to drive tangible improvements you will be working with strategic partners and customers to drive business results, in line with Integrated Value Chain (IVC) strategy. This is a great foundation should you wish to be considered for our European Graduate Programme at a later stage.

Examples of work areas:

  • Analysis of customer survey results to identify generic and customer specific improvement opportunities
  • Analysis of customer supply chain characteristics to identify and quantify opportunities to improve service and/or reduce supply chain costs
  • Identification of best practice internal and external, and its application to K-C customers

Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for adaptable, team orientated people with the ability to demonstrate good leadership potential, strong numerical and analytical skills and ideally fluent in a second European language. You should have good 'A' level grades and currently be studying a relevant degree and on course for a 2.1 or first. Previous work experience would be beneficial. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
