Sainsburys - Sainsburys 8 week placement

Are you searching for that perfect career path? Not sure which route to take? Or perhaps you're looking to improve the work experience on your CV? Whatever stage of university you're at, or if you've already completed your degree, a placement at Sainsbury's is available to you. As well as enhancing your CV, placements are an opportunity to become involved in real projects that have an impact on our business. You'll develop business skills like project management, networking, business influencing, big picture thinking, accountability and decision-making.

Depending on which placement you join, you may be based at our Store Support Centres in London or Coventry, one of our distribution centres, or one of our stores across the country.

From day one you will have responsibility for a project intended to have a significant effect on the business. You'll also get a chance to experience many different aspects of life within Sainsbury's. There will be plenty of support to help you learn the ropes and deliver your business critical project. Every placement ends with a performance review and if you're particularly successful, a place on graduate training scheme or even a direct entry role with Sainsbury's.

We have 8-week summer placements in the following areas: Buying (Food), Buying (Procurement), Buying (General Merchandise), Store Development, Human Resources, Information Technology, Location Planning, Merchandising (General Merchandise) and Product Technology (Food).

We also have one year placements in the following areas: Product Technology (Food), Product Development (Food) and Logistics.
